NIT student shares experience at DAAD meeting

20.12.2011
NIT student Bojan Pelivanoski was invited to give a speech at the annual meeting of DAAD scholarship holders on his experience in studying for the double master program at the Northern Institute of Technology Management and the Hamburg University of Technology.
There is a longstanding tradition of German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) representatives visiting German universities in the fall to meet scholars. On December 9, the annual meeting of DAAD scholarship holders with representatives of DAAD took place at the University of Hamburg, where around 200 scholarship holders from Hamburg, Lübeck and Lüneburg participated. The idea of the meeting is to give DAAD scholarship holders an opportunity to get to know the organisation, its programs and its projects better.
The meeting was addressed by Dr. Martina Schulze as managing officer of the DAAD for the group for Latin America and Africa, and by the Vice President of the University of Hamburg for Education, Prof. Dr. Holger Fischer.
In addition, NIT student Pelivanoski was invited to give a speech on his experience in studying for the double master’s program at the NIT and the TUHH and his experience of living in Germany.
It was not the first time that Pelivanoski shared his experience with DAAD. On July 08-10, 2011 the annual conference of DAAD scholarship holders studying in northern Germany took place in Hamburg, with more than 400 scholarship holders attending. Among ten selected speeches from 500 scholarship holders, Pelivanoski was selected to give a speech on his research area – Integrated Water Resources Management – as Hamburg was the European Green Capital in 2011.
Since its foundation, the NIT cooperates successfully with the DAAD in the areas of student selection, student marketing, and individual promotion of outstanding students.
