NIT Alumnus has won the Nordmetall Preis 2011

30.11.2011

NIT/TUHH alumnus Dr.-Ing. Jan Hendrik Wülbern has been awarded with this year’s Nordmetall Preis. The Nordmetall Stiftung is awarding students and junior scientists with outstanding achievements. Dr. Wülbern is sharing the prize with his colleague Ibrahim Dag, also a TUHH alumnus. The award carries a value of 6.000€ and has – rather remarkable - just celebrated its 25th anniversary.

Jan Hendrik Wülbern is NIT alumnus of NIT Class 05 and has been a top grade student during his complete academic career. In his PhD, he was working on the field of photonics and developed a nanophonotic switch for an ultra fast optical communication between computer chips and future computers. Dr. Wülbern is currently part of the Research and Development Department at Philips Healthcare.

The NIT congratulates him most cordially!
