- Scholarships are granted by globally operating companies such as Siemens, Procter & Gamble, IBM or others, as well as by small and medium enterprises. These "SMEs", many of them in the globalization phase, are the backbone of German economy. Make sure to check also their scholarship offers carefully.
- the NIT admission office is happy to provide further information on current scholarships. As the complete organization of the program lies in the hands of NIT, we ask you to not get in touch with the sponsoring companies directly (except you are already currently employed at the company).
- the admission process is handled by NIT and TUHH independently. Admission to one of the master's degree courses at TUHH is a precondition for being considered for the NIT. (Applying for the very selective management program does not reduce your chances for admission to one of the master's degree courses at TUHH.)
- a full NIT scholarship (EUR 13,500.- per year) covers all tuition fees for the management program, the intensive German language course at the Goethe-Institut in Hamburg, accommodation on campus, TUHH semester fees, semester public transport ticket and some further costs.
- for further scholarships to cover personal living expenses you may also contact either your local office of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the German embassy, or the Goethe-Institut in your country or other German fund institutions.
Statement of Purpose
A detailed (one- to two-page) statement of purpose must accompany the application.
The statement should include:
- your reasons for undertaking graduate work in the chosen engineering field,
- an explanation of your interest in the management, law, language and ethics program at the NIT,
- a description on how the planned graduate work relates to your undergraduate study and to your professional goals,
- an indication which scholarships you would like to be considered for,
- a statement on why you are keen on the sponsoring companies you have indicated
- all NIT applicants are automatically considered for scholarships.
