You can study for a master’s in technology management at the NIT either part-time or as a postgrad while working on your doctoral dissertation. That is why non-EU international applicants require a residence permit; a student visa is insufficient. Applicants from the European Union (and from Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway) do not require a visa due to freedom of movement provisions
At the NIT, we admit 30 to 35 new students only every year to our Technology Management class. Due to a limited number of places, we recommend you to submit your application early before the final deadline. We use a rolling admission system, so that admission can be declared before the deadline.
Please submit the following documents via email@example.com
Please fill out the application form (PDF)
A one to two page summary of your academic and professional career is required. A standardized format is not needed but you should make sure that your CV includes your qualifications, special achievements as well as your foreign language and programming skills.
Bachelor's degree certificate
Bachelor's degree certificate or equivalent, including your aggregate mark or grade point average. If your final degree certificate is not yet available, you need to submit an official provisional degree certificate or an official letter of your registrar, dean or academic supervisor, listing the remaining subjects and, if possible, the prospective grades as well as the prospective final grade average.
Transcript of records
Complete university transcript of records (semester mark sheets), listing your subjects and grades.
Proof of English language proficiency
Please note that all applicants whose native language is not English must submit a valid proof of proficiency in English, even though English might be an official language in their home country and even though their previous education might have been conducted in English language. Valid means that any certificate may not be older than two years. Candidates must prove their proficiency in English by one of the following tests:
If necessary other certificates can be recognised. Please contact us!
Statement of purpose
The statement of purpose (max. two pages) should include your reasons for undertaking graduate work in the chosen field of engineering at TUHH, your motivation to pursue the additional technology management program at the NIT and your future career plans. If you want to apply for one of the industrial scholarships, please specify in your statement of purpose which scholarship you want to be considered for and give reasons why you are interested in the specific sponsoring company. Please only choose one company (if your academic profile matches more than one scholarship program, the NIT Admissions Team may ask you to submit an additional Statement of Purpose at a later time).
2 Letters of recommendation
The letters of recommendation should be issued by faculty members acquainted with the applicant's work in the major area of undergraduate study. If that work occurred some time ago, recommendations from those supervisors familiar with the applicant's professional performance are acceptable as well. Please upload the letters of recommendation in one pdf. Referees may also send the letters of recommendation directly to the NIT (firstname.lastname@example.org). In that case, please instruct the referees to indicate your name and your TUHH application number in the subject heading of the email. Please leave the upload field empty, if you do not have your letters of recommendation yet or if your referee wants to submit the document directly to the NIT.

If applicable: Proof of work experience

Please provide a letter from your employer(s) confirming the entry date, leaving date and the amount of working hours per week of your tenure.
Promising candidates will be invited to an interview with the admissions committee – either in person at the NIT or via Skype.
Master@IBM addresses ambitious bachelor graduates who want to start their career and qualify at the same time for leading and expert positions. Required is a good degree in a discipline with focus on IT and very good English language skills.
The Master@IBM program enables you to study for a master's degree alongside work. As a rule you will study for four semesters at NIT. At the same time you will be working 3 to 4 days per week (60-80%) in an IBM department where you can put your theoretical knowledge straight into practice. Along with responsible tasks and fixed remuneration IBM offers to pay your tuition fees in full, to provide in-house IBM training, to enable you to gain certification in different specialized areas, and to support you in your further career planning.
