Residence Permit & Further Plans

Applicants who already hold a residence permit for Germany can choose between the 90 or 120 ECTS version of the Technology Management Program. Applicants who do not hold a residence permit for Germany yet, can apply for a visa / residence permit for the purpose of studying (once they have been admitted to the program). In order to qualify for a student residence permit, they will have to study in the Double Degree program or in the 120 ECTS version of the Technology Management program.

Further plans during the Technology Management at the NIT

Please let us know whether you have any plans parallel to our studies at the NIT

Leave empty if the Technology Management program will be your main focus.

Financial Aspects

Of the study program in Technology Management MBA/M.A.

The program costs for the program Technology Management amount to 26,750 EUR (or 36,500 EUR in the 120 ECTS program). They are payable in instalments. Living expenses, accommodation, health insurance etc. are not included in the program costs (students from outside of the European Union should also enquire with their local German embassy or consulate which proof of financial subsistence they need in order to obtain a student visa / residence permit in Germany). Please read the information on fees and financing options provided on our website (https://www.nithh.de/study/program-fees-scholarships/) carefully. In close cooperation with the local industry, the NIT offers a very limited number of industrial scholarships for highly motivated and outstanding individuals studying in the Double Degree Program. An industrial scholarship covers the NIT tuition fees for the management program and the intensive German language course in Hamburg. Administration fees are not included, so students have to pay 600 EUR per semester (TUHH semester enrolment fee + NIT administrative fee) individually. Applicants from Germany who cannot be considered for an industrial scholarship can apply for student loans, e.g. with the KfW or the Bundesverwaltungsamt:
www.kfw.de/s/deiDsjf
www.bva.bund.de/DE/Services/Buerger/Schule-Ausbildung-Studium/Bildungskredit/bildungskredit_node.html

Outstanding international students that have received admission into the TUHH/NIT Double Degree Program but could not be considered for an industrial scholarship can apply for the NIT student loan program which is offered by the NIT in close cooperation with the Sparkasse Harburg Buxtehude. The NIT student loan can be used to cover the program costs.

Further details (e.g. regarding interest rates and payback modalities) are provided upon request. For further (individual) scholarships opportunities you may also contact your local office of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) or other German funding institutions and governmental sources. A good place to start your research for scholarship options is the DAAD scholarship database:
