We promote personalities: people like Alejandro Espinoza and Rodrigo Hortega, who with their app SWALK, developed at the NIT, show the safest route to a destination. In their home city in Mexico they experienced the problems of crime at first hand and are aware of its effect on quality of life.
The feeling of insecurity in certain areas can be very intensive, with SWALK it is different. Routes are colored red, amber or green for security – and in real time. The user can take the safest route – on foot, by bicycle or by car.
NIT alumni Natalia Tomiyama (right) and Sandro Rabbiosi of NÜWIEL are revolutionizing road transport with their battery-powered cycle trailer.
NÜWIEL enables baggage to be transported around town in an eco-friendly, unproblematic way and without undue effort and exertion. The NIT graduates designed a trailer with its own source of power that makes smart use of braking and acceleration energy.
June 29, 2018 was not only the day of our 20th anniversary - it was also the founding day of our promotional association commuNITy e.V., which wants to support student projects. 17 founding members signed the statutes and founded the association.
