Connecting the disciplines of mechanics, electronics, computer science and control engineering is the core competence of modern engineering. Thus the Mechatronics curriculum provides a broad insight into state-of-the-art methods for this interdisciplinary combination reinforced by research projects carried out at the university or in industry. Further specialization in two of the four disciplines is realized through the technical electives.
The NIT curriculum comprises modules from the fields of classical management, self-development, innovation management, business start-ups and digitalization. These modules familiarize students with the entrepreneurial challenges of the future.
Topics such as ethics, law or IT security deepen further important aspects of technology management. On the basis of real projects, our students learn to apply relevant innovation methods such as design thinking in practice and can also learn programming in the optional module "Coding". In this way, they develop skills that are in demand in an agile, digitized working environment. The MyProject module is central to the technology management course at NIT. Here, students supervise an innovation project that can serve as the basis for a new business area.
