The NIT is part of a global network with teachers and students from all over the world. International business enterprises and highly regarded universities collaborate closely with us. Therefore, we can integrate study periods abroad into the study program. In addition, our wide-ranging global contacts offer the NIT’s partners excellent perspectives.
From SMBs to international corporations, the NIT knows the multinational players while retaining its regional ties. Our partner companies secure qualified recruits and continue to qualify their employees at the NIT. As interns, NIT students gain fascinating insights into companies, and many begin their career with one of the NIT’s partners.
The NIT is highly regarded for its teaching. Renowned university lecturers from four continents teach at the NIT and convey practice-relevant knowledge in application-oriented seminars. Our flying-faculty includes both university lecturers and experienced practitioners. They also design in-house further training courses for companies, give lectures, and moderate at workshops.
NIT graduates are a global network of about 500 alumni. Many of them hold responsible positions at the interface of management and engineering. In 2002, former students founded the NIT Alumni Network e.V. They hold an annual Homecoming Weekend and benefit from contacts in chapters around the world.
As an active member of associations and learned societies, we take part in various expert forums of strategic relevance for the NIT. We ensure that tomorrow’s technology managers and their issues are on the agenda of, say, the Hamburg Industry 4.0 Dialog Platform, the Startup Network, and the EFMD, the leading international management development network.
The NIT has many contacts with universities and research institutions. We maintain especially close ties with the TUHH but are also, via our flying-faculty, in regular exchange with international universities. We discuss megatrends, for example, so that we can incorporate their consequences into our curriculum and develop from them research question with a practical orientation.
