At home on the Hamburg University of Technology campus and active around the world: the Northern Institute of Technology (NIT) Management is part of a strong international network.
We think holistically which is why maintaining and extending our network across borders and continents is most important for us. We keep in close contact with our students and alumni, research partners, foundations, university experts, enterprises, and renowned professionals.
We cooperate with numerous enterprises and universities, are in regular contact with foundations and associations, and maintain an active global network of lecturers and alumni. Together we take an interdisciplinary approach to current and future challenges such as digitization, Work 4.0, and IT security. The knowledge acquired flows from the NIT Toolbox into our Technology Management study program.
The NIT is perfectly networked: not only are our students international, but our lecturers also come from all over the world. As a result of our 20 years of teaching and study experience, we have at our disposal an international network of lecturers from highly regarded universities and business schools in Europe, the United States, and Australia, plus experienced professionals from internationally active companies.
The future needs people with vision, students who seek challenges and think ahead of their time. Your membership of commuNITy e.V. enables the NIT to provide financial support for student projects and activities.
June 29, 2018 was the founding day of our new association commuNITy e.V. 17 founding members signed the statutes and founded the association.
We want to enable talents from all over the world to receive an excellent education at the NIT. As a private institute of higher education we cannot do it alone. Through the generosity of our partners we are able to provide scholarships to deserving students as well as secure and develop the education at NIT.
By making a contribution, you encourage our talents to realize their innovative ideas in an intercultural community. Find out how you can help provide life chances for all.
Our 500-plus alumni are at home all over the world. They maintain an active community long after their studies, keeping in touch via our social network InsideNIT, the NIT Alumni Network e.V., and the annual Homecoming Weekend.
The alumni also stay in active contact with the NIT team and the current students, helping the students with hints on career planning.
The NIT is a startup hotspot. NIT students and alumni have founded numerous startups - many of them extremely successful. As part of our Technology Management study program students develop the skills required and learn in the MyProject modules what it means to develop and test a business idea and get it off the ground.
Under real conditions, with pitches to genuine investors and without a safety net. What all startups at the NIT have in common is that they want to make a difference. The founders want to tackle real problems with their business ideas, to take technologies forward and put them to use, to conserve the environment or make the city a cleaner place.
