And because we practice what we preach, we cooperate with numerous companies and universities, maintain regular exchanges with foundations and associations and nurture our active global network of lecturers and alumni. We rely on fruitful cooperation in order to jointly create exciting offerings, to assist students with their career planning and to take innovations forward.
TOGETHER WE FACE THE CHALLENGES OF THE FUTURE
Current and future challenges such as digitization, Work 4.0 or IT security are best tackled by means of an interdisciplinary approach. We thereby aim to help make the world a little cleaner and more innovative and to improve its quality of life.
We focus on this approach in all our offerings, be it the Technology Management study program or the lifelong learning workshops in our NIT Toolbox.
SCIENCE AND INSTITUTIONS
The NIT maintains numerous contacts with universities and research facilities. Our ties with the Hamburg University of Technology are especially close. By means of our Flying Faculty we cultivate exchanges with international universities. We discuss, inter alia, megatrends in order to take forward from them practical research issues that in turn flow into our study program or our further education courses for specialist and management personnel.
FOUNDATIONS AND SPONSORS
Thanks to generous funding from foundations and private donors we are able to ensure the excellent quality of our teaching and to provide exciting offers for our students. Körber Foundation funding, for example, enabled us to establish a building of our own on the TUHH campus. It includes modern classrooms and offices and nearly 70 apartments for our mainly international students.
Other longstanding NIT partners and supporters are the Nordmetall Foundation, the Angelika and Thomas Matzen Foundation and many other foundations that are enthusiastic supporter of the idea behind the NIT.

From small and midrange businesses to globally active enterprises, the NIT knows the multinational players while retaining its regional roots.
Our partner companies recruit their trainees from us and send their employees to the NIT to gain further qualifications. And our students gain exciting insights into companies as interns. Many of them embark on their careers at an NIT partner company.
SCHOLARSHIPS FOR NIT STUDENTS
Many companies and foundations active in different areas award scholarships to students with outstanding academic achievements who are keen to study for their Master’s degree with a high level of commitment and motivation.

As an active member of associations and societies the NIT takes part in various professional forums of strategic relevance.
In this way we put the topics of tomorrow’s technology managers on the agenda on, for example, the Hamburg dialog platform Industrie 4.0, in the Gründernetzwerk Hamburg and in various business associations.
