For the first time, the NIT Northern Institute of Technology Management announces the "Hauke Trinks Award" in recognition of the memory and values of Prof. Hauke Trinks, the founding father of the NIT Northern Institute of Technology Management. With this award, the NIT wants to draw the attention of students at Hamburg universities to the life and work of Prof. Hauke Trinks.
The prize is intended to honor graduates of Bachelor's degree programs at Hamburg universities and colleges in the MINT field who have achieved outstanding results in their final thesis and have demonstrated a high degree of scientific curiosity as well as pursuing original and interdisciplinary approaches to gaining scientific knowledge.
Students from Hamburg universities and colleges who have submitted or will submit their bachelor thesis in a MINT degree program between 1 October 2017 and 30 September 2018.
The first prize is endowed with €1,000, the second with €600 and the third with €400.

The award ceremony will take place during the graduation ceremony of NIT Class 18 on 28.09.2018 in the Audimax of the Technical University of Hamburg. The participation of the prizewinners is expected.
