Apply now for the Hauke Trinks Award

For the first time, the NIT Northern Institute of Technology Management announces the "Hauke Trinks Award" in recognition of the memory and values of Prof. Hauke Trinks, the founding father of the NIT Northern Institute of Technology Management. With this award, the NIT wants to draw the attention of students at Hamburg universities to the life and work of Prof. Hauke Trinks.

The prize is intended to honor graduates of Bachelor's degree programs at Hamburg universities and colleges in the MINT field who have achieved outstanding results in their final thesis and have demonstrated a high degree of scientific curiosity as well as pursuing original and interdisciplinary approaches to gaining scientific knowledge.

 

Who can apply?

Students from Hamburg universities and colleges who have submitted or will submit their bachelor thesis in a MINT degree program between 1 October 2017 and 30 September 2018.

Prices:

The first prize is endowed with €1,000, the second with €600 and the third with €400.

Prof. Otto von Estorff (NIT President), Verena Fritzsche (NIT CEO), Dr. Stephan Scheuner (NIT Program Team), Dr. Ole Trinks and a representative of the NIT student body

Application deadline:

31.08.2018

Application procedure:

Students submit the following documents by email to stephan.scheuner@bitte nicht bespammennithh.de with the subject "Hauke Trinks-Preis" by 31.08.2018:

  • Application form completed by the student
  • Exposé of the work (maximum 1 DIN A4 page)
  • A 90-second maximum video, which concisely illustrates the objective, results and innovative character of the work.
  • Evaluation form completed by the supervising university teacher (this can also be sent directly to the NIT by the university teacher)

For the transmission of the video file we recommend to use the upload service of the TUHH, Dropbox or wetransfer.


Award ceremony:

The award ceremony will take place during the graduation ceremony of NIT Class 18 on 28.09.2018 in the Audimax of the Technical University of Hamburg. The participation of the prizewinners is expected.
