Cybercrime never sleeps—and certainly not in times of the ever-present digitization weaving into every area of our lives, society, and infrastructures. From the smartphone in our pocket to the fitness watch round our wrist to the connected machine in the smart factory. Wherever money can be made, there's no limit to the ingenuity of hackers and cybercriminals.
In the fight against the global cybercrime business, the international security specialist Secucloud is now seeking reinforcement from the academic sector. Starting in October, the Hamburg-based company will award a scholarship to a promising master student, who will work for Secucloud during the week and simultaneously be studying Technology Management at the NIT (Northern Institute of Technology) Management in Hamburg. The tuition fees will be covered by Secucloud.
Security from the Cloud
In order to efficiently protect the devices and data of end users and enterprises, Secucloud has chosen a completely new approach to security. The innovative security vendor has moved the relevant security mechanisms to the cloud, identifying and eliminating malicious data streams right where today's cyber threats actually lurk: the internet. In contrast to traditional security solutions, which only take care of this at the level of the individual device, no software installation is required in this approach. The advantage of this is obvious: no performance losses on the device and no need for constant updating and maintenance of a locally installed security solution.
Agile workplace on innovative future technology
Operating on the global market as an agile, innovative security company, Secucloud lays a huge focus on providing a modern, cooperative working environment. "With our cloud security business, we offer students insights into one of the most exciting and critical innovative technologies of the future," explains CEO Dennis Monner. "We're an agile, dynamic company with over a dozen of different nationalities. We appreciate each individual's creativity and support everyone to evolve in accordance with their own personal goals. After all, that's exactly what we're looking for: A promising new talent that supports us in our everlasting struggle to always stay one step ahead of cybercrooks and criminals."
