Full house at the "Tag des Wissens"

On September 22nd, the "Tag des Wissens" took place on the campus of the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH). Approximately 4,500 visitors familiarised themselves with the research topics of around 20 Hamburg universities, research institutes and other institutions.

The NIT also presented itself with three program items. At 1 p.m., NIT CEO Verena Fritzsche showed the interested audience how leadership can work in a global and networked world. Using the NIT as an example, she illustrated how a company can deal with the changes in the digital world and what influence new leadership techniques have.

During the workshop "Design Thinking" with trainer Sandra-Luisa Moschner, the participants developed a new product and faced the challenge "Design your seat neighbour's favorite shoe". Design Thinking is a systematic approach to complex problems and a process to promote innovative ideas. It uses the approach of designers who initially focus on the problem area and work in a highly user-oriented manner.

Finally, NIT alumnus Tobias Berger gave an insight into the ever-changing digital world in his lecture "Understanding digitalization in 60 minutes". He pointed out that our way of communicating is changing and that we will have to face new challenges in the future.
