New Source of Funding for HQ Labs

With a new investor to mark the company's fifth birthday, business could hardly be better for NIT alumni Lucas Bauche and Tobias Hagenau and startup HQLabs co-founder Nils Czernis. The HQLabs startup trio seriously impressed the Innovationsstarter Fund Hamburg with its project management software. The fund is now backing the software agency along with its existing investors.

Financial Boost for Growing Startup

HQLabs convinced the newly established Innovationsstarter Fund with a good idea and verifiable success. The agency is growing fast, signing up 10 to 20 new customers per month. "HQLabs is one of the most innovative software startups - and one of the most successful. With over 200 customers in the German-speaking countries HQLabs has provided a clear proof of concept," says the fund's investment manager Stefanie Höhn, adding that "we are delighted to be playing a part in continuing to write this success story." The young company will use the money to optimize and further develop its software, HQ. "With our new investor's support we will continue to develop HQ at previously undreamt-of speed. Faster and more mobile interfaces, more state-of-the-art web technologies, more intensive cross-enterprise Integration, more attractive design - the road map is full to the brim," says co-founder Hagenau.

Numerous Awards Argue in HQLabs' Favor

Within five years the startup has established itself as a recognized provider of project management software. "We are proud and a little awestruck by what can become of a mad idea with the right team," Hagenau says. Various awards have accompanied the startup's success story. In 2014 HQLabs came second in the Initiative Mittelstand's IT Innovation Prize competition, in the 2015 Hamburg Innovation Awards it was one of the Top 5, and it was one of three award-winners in the nationwide 2015 made contest.
