The NIT Northern Institute of Technology Management starts out the New Year with a series of events: Hamburg Business Dialog. Once every quarter NIT invites participants from small and medium-sized enterprises to speak about challenges such as industry 4.0, 3D printing and IT security. The aim is an inspiring exchange on topics that concern small and medium-sized businesses. Ideas are provided by speakers from science, industry and politics. The first Hamburg Business Dialog will take place on January 26, 2017 at the NIT on the campus of the Hamburg University of Technology.
The pressure to change is constantly increasing. If it was globalization up to now, digitization is now advancing a transformation that appears to be completely open in its outcome. Business models and work operations, modes of production and product universes, demand behavior and sales channels now change at a speed that makes many operational procedures that were successful even yesterday appear strangely dated already today. Those who attempt to constantly adapt to this dynamic will always act when it is too late. It is good to respond to external influences as quickly as possible. However, it is better to manage and design what happens.
The opening event “Work 4.0 – Human or Machine” takes place at NIT on January 26, 2017 starting at 6:00 p.m. Among others the speakers include Verena Fritzsche, CEO of NIT, Kristina Lohse-Thiele, head of clients and systems engineering of Hamburg Wasser and a political representative. Sven Enger, digital expert and initiator of the NIT Digital Think Tank will host the evening.
