A visit from the Far East: On October 9 and 10 the NIT Northern Institute of Technology Management welcomed 16 guests from Tianjin, China. Employees of media enterprises and the municipal administration were in Hamburg to learn more about the German media landscape and digital change. The visit was organized by the Bremen-based Society for German-Chinese Friendship (GDCF).
Where does the German print landscape stand? Which business models are German publishers pursuing? On the two days university lecturers from the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences and the Hans Bredow Institute gave insights into the media industry in this country. This week’s conference marks the start of a series of joint events planned by the GDFC and the NIT. “The NIT has always stood for international education and intercultural exchange. That is why we are delighted to be cooperating with the GDFC,” said NIT CEO Verena Fritzsche. The next delegation is expected at the end of October.
