The NIT Northern Institute of Technology Management has a new CEO

On September 01, 2021, Dr. Klemens Kleiminger took over the management of NIT.

Previously, Dr. Kleiminger was, among others, Senior Project Manager at Roland Berger and most recently, for more than 15 years, board member and shareholder of CoreMedia, an international, high-end software provider for websites and e-commerce stores. He is also active as co-founder, business angel, mentor and in (digital) advisory boards at companies in the technology and digitization environment.

"I'm coming back to my roots, the university context and the birthplace of my previous place of work, CoreMedia, which was created in 1996 as a spin-off of the Technical University of Hamburg (TUHH). I am delighted to become part of the team of this very renowned, private university and this outstanding, exclusive, English-language university degree program 'Technology Management' with a strong focus on entrepreneurship, leadership and internationalization (M.A. and MBA) and to help shape its future," said Dr. Kleiminger.

"We are delighted to have been able to appoint Dr. Klemens Kleiminger, a highly experienced executive entrepreneur and expert in the field of digitalization, and we are certain that he will have a very positive influence on the future development of the NIT," said NIT President Prof. Dr.-Ing. Otto von Estorff, welcoming the decision.

At NIT, Dr. Kleiminger will continue to shape the unique learning environment. For more than 20 years, approximately 30 highly motivated students have completed their studies at the NIT each year, either in a double degree program with the TUHH, part-time or alongside their doctorate. International professors both from theory and practice guarantee a very high quality of teaching in the accredited and innovative curriculum. The students not only learn together, but also live in the apartments in the NIT building and in the two years of their studies grow together forming a community that lives on long after graduation in the global "high-potential" alumni network.

"The motto of the NIT is 'Be the Change' and to accompany both our students and the entire NIT organization on this journey of change and transformation," is what Dr. Kleiminger looks forward to.
