The Northern Institute of Technology Management (NIT) collects personal information. Personal data is information that can be used to identify you. This includes information such as your name, your postal or IP address (unless anonymised), telephone number and e-mail address. Information that is not associated with your identity (such as anonymous log files that log the types of browsers used) is not included.
Data provided by you (e.g. data entered via a web form) may be or contain personal data. We only store your content at your request and to the extent necessary for the respective procedure (e.g. for event registration) or for data backup. The respective use of such data is referred to in the respective context.
The web servers of the NIT Northern Institute of Technology Management are operated by the Computer Center of the Technical University of Hamburg (TUHH):

When you access this or other websites, you transmit data to our web server via your Internet browser. The following data is temporarily recorded in a log file during a running connection for communication between your Internet browser and our web server
In individual cases, i.e. reported faults, errors and security incidents, manual analysis is performed. Log entries older than seven days are anonymized by reducing the IP address.
The anonymized logs are used to generate access statistics. The software used for this is operated locally by the data center. The TUHH computer centre does not merge the IP addresses contained in the log entries with other data stocks, so that the TUHH computer centre cannot draw conclusions about individual persons.
Personal data that you may provide to us via contact forms, registration forms and similar websites on our web servers will only be accepted with your consent and will only serve the purpose stated in the forms. Please note the relevant information on the forms. Only the personal data that is absolutely necessary is collected in all forms. Usually the personal data is stored on a database server of TUHH. Here we generally work according to the principle of data economy.
Your data will not be passed on to third parties unless this is explicitly stated in the form.
We use so-called cookies on our Internet pages to enable web-based applications to manage the status of an online visit and to enable smooth navigation between the individual services and content on the website. Cookies are stored on the hard disk of your computer and do not cause any damage there. A cookie is a small data file that is transferred from the web server on your computer when you surf our pages. A cookie only contains information that we ourselves send to your computer - private data cannot be read out with a cookie.
If you accept cookies, we do not have access to your personal information. Individual user profiles are not created. However, we can identify your computer with the help of cookies. Most browsers accept cookies by default. Cookies can be enabled or disabled in the security settings. Please use the help functions of your Internet browser to find out how you can change these settings. If cookies are prohibited, certain features on our pages may not be available and some websites may not work properly.
Please use the help functions of your Internet browser to find out how you can change these settings. If cookies are prohibited, certain features on our pages may not be available and some websites may not properly integrate third party services and content.
We use third party content such as videos from YouTube and maps from Google Maps within our online offer. This presupposes that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as "third party providers") are aware of the IP address of the users. Because without the IP address they could not send the content to the browser of the respective user.
The IP address is therefore required for the display of this content. We endeavour to use only those contents whose respective providers use the IP address only for the delivery of the contents. However, we have no influence on this if the third party providers store the IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes. As far as we know, we inform users about this.
Our website integrates a plugin from www.youtube.com, which is operated by Google Inc. 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States ("Google"). If you access pages of our website provided with such a plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established and the plugin is displayed on the website by notifying your browser. This transmits to the Youtube server which of our Internet pages you have visited. If you are logged into Youtube as a member, YouTube assigns this information to your personal user accounts on these platforms.
When using these plugins, such as clicking/launching a video or sending a comment, this information is assigned to your e.g. YouTube user account, which you can only prevent by logging out before using the plugin. Further information on the collection and use of data by the platform or plugins can be found in Youtube's data protection information under the following link: www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. "("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymisation is activated on this website, Google will reduce your IP address within Member States of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area beforehand.
